Position Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned Controller to lead accounting operations at a respected metals supplier. This role oversees financial reporting, payroll, A/P & A/R, and inventory control, partnering with the CFO to drive strategic financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver accurate internal and external financial reports
Oversee A/P and A/R teams to ensure smooth daily operations
Ensure sales tax compliance and support multi-state payroll
Manage payroll and ensure timely tax reporting
Supervise inventory accounting and monthly valuations
Perform bank reconciliations and coordinate with external CPA
Monitor and improve financial controls and reporting systems
Serve as backup Credit Manager and support collections policies
Provide timely insights to the CFO and assist on special projects
Maintain professionalism and clear communication with all stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred
7+ years in accounting leadership, ideally in manufacturing or supply chain
Experience with payroll, sales tax, inventory, and A/P & A/R
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
Strong grasp of GAAP and internal controls
Ethical, detail-oriented, and collaborative
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $120,000–$140,000 DOE
