Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants immediate, hands-on experience managing a substantial caseload and appearing in court. The position is litigation-heavy, particularly in commercial disputes, but also offers exposure to transactional work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a high-volume caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Represent clients in court, including hearings, motions, and other proceedings
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
  • Manage disputes involving construction, real estate, restaurant, and other business sectors
  • Work on business contract disputes and tort claims (e.g., fraud, tortious interference)
  • Assist with and, over time, independently handle transactional matters including corporate, real estate, and estate planning work
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in [Insert State]
  • 1–3 years of relevant legal experience
  • Prior courtroom experience strongly preferred
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload and work independently
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in client development

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • Hourly Bonus: Earn additional compensation for all hours billed over 150 per month (~37.5 hours/week baseline)
  • Client Origination Bonus: Receive 20% of billed and collected revenue for any client you bring to the firm—regardless of who performs the work

This is not a slow onboarding role—associates are given meaningful responsibility and a full caseload early. You’ll gain substantial courtroom and case management experience quickly while also building skills across transactional practice areas.
