A well-established and growing residential home builder is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. This position will play an important role in supporting both corporate and project-level accounting, with a strong focus on construction draws, loan documentation, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
Prepare, submit, and track construction loan draw requests in coordination with project teams and lenders
Maintain accurate and organized loan and project documentation
Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
Prepare monthly financial packages and internal reporting
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and properly documented
Work closely with project and operations teams to support the financial management of active residential construction projects
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within residential construction, home building, or a related construction environment
Hands-on experience with construction loan draws, draw processing, and construction finance
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or construction-specific accounting software
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
