Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join a dynamic legal team in Birmingham, Alabama. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3–5 years of experience who is looking to take an active role in complex litigation matters and contribute to strategic case development and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support a diverse caseload involving commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and consumer financial services litigation
• Develop and execute legal strategies from inception through resolution
• Take and defend depositions
• Handle all aspects of motion practice
• Represent clients in trials, arbitrations, and hearings
• Prepare and produce witnesses for depositions and trial
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure effective case management
• Participate in all phases of litigation and key litigation events

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Alabama (or ability to become licensed)
• 3–5 years of relevant litigation experience
• Preferred experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and consumer financial services litigation
• Demonstrated ability to successfully execute legal strategy
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
