Job Description

An established construction firm is seeking a high-level leader for their cold-storage projects.  If you have experience on ground up light indutrial projects including cold-storage, self-storage, and manufcaturing projects, this could be a great opportunity for you.  

  • Collaborate with owners, architects, and other stakeholders on construction projects throughout their many phases including: conceptual, development, execution, and follow-up.
  • Develop, manage, and participate in win strategy development, proposals, and presentations to owners.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and prospective clients for the purpose of securing work for Company.
  • Manage relationships with owners, owner’s representatives, architects, and campuses (e.g. university, medical).
  • Effectively manage assigned projects through project manager(s) or assigned project team.
  • Directly or through staff, manage project(s): budget, schedule, and relationships (owner, architect, etc.).
  • Work closely with Company departments (e.g. Accounting, HR, Safety, Quality Assurance, etc.) in the execution of project work to maximize MCL success.
  • Work with professionalism at all times including with: managers, peers and others within Company, and all external contacts including owners, owner’s representatives, architects, and subcontractors.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced-level understanding and experience in all facets of ground up construction
  • Strong work ethic/dedicated
  • Passionate about construction, process improvement, and employee development
  • Thorough in all aspects of the position and in oversight of projects and associated staff
  • Creative/innovative approach to project development, project teams, and project execution.
  • Ability to effectively oversee multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Works well in a team project development and execution environment. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE    Minimum educational requirement is a Bachelors degree in Construction Management, or an Engineering field (Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural) OR equivalent experience.  Qualified candidates will have fifteen or more years ground up light industrial construction experience including ten years in a project manager role; and a proven history of relationship management and business development success.  An acceptable combination of education and relatable experience may be considered.  Significant experience in developing, managing, and participating in presentations and proposals to clients is expected.  Experience in various integrated project delivery methods is expected of this position.  Candidates will be highly technology literate and proficient in the Microsoft environment (Excel, Word, Outlook).
