Position Overview:

The Exchange Officer acts as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the full lifecycle of a 1031 exchange transaction.

This role is heavily focused on:

  • Client communication
  • Transaction coordination
  • Deadline management
  • Fund transfer coordination
  • Legal/compliance documentation
  • Multi-party communication

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all phases of 1031 exchange transactions
  • Serve as primary client contact throughout exchanges
  • Manage transaction timelines and IRS deadlines
  • Coordinate with:
    • Closing agents
    • Attorneys
    • Brokers
    • Title companies
    • Clients
  • Handle escrow/fund transfer coordination
  • Review and organize documentation
  • Resolve transaction issues and maintain communication flow
  • Ensure smooth closing process from initiation through completion

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 1–2+ years of experience preferred in:
    • Banking
    • Financial services
    • Real estate operations
    • Escrow/title
    • Transaction coordination
    • Client-facing operations

Skills / Soft Skills:

  • Strong customer service mentality
  • Patient and professional communicator
  • Highly organized
  • Detail-oriented
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments
  • Able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Strong follow-through and responsiveness

Software: Microsoft Office Suite

Certifications: Open / not required
