Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join our team. This role will focus on new market development and leveraging our existing customer base to drive sales growth and enhance customer satisfaction. This position requires a proactive approach to prospecting, building relationships, and guiding customers toward solutions. The Technical Sales Representative will need to manage multiple accounts and/or markets, maintain an accurate CRM, and be flexible in adapting to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Proactively identify and engage potential customers to drive new business opportunities across North America

  • Account Recovery: Recapture lost or inactive accounts by re-establishing relationships and demonstrating AMOT's value proposition

  • Technical Expertise: Learn and apply technical knowledge of product lines to recommend appropriate solutions to customers

  • CRM Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in Pipedrive CRM system and use as primary tool for managing pipeline and activities

  • Customer Support: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Relationship Management: Maintain regular communication with key accounts to ensure satisfaction and address any technical inquiries or concerns

  • Product Demonstrations: Provide technical support and product demonstrations to customers, showcasing the value and benefits of our solutions

  • Sales Execution: Execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive market penetration

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience

  • Industry Engagement: Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our products and services


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in account management, technical sales, application engineering, design engineering or equivalent

  • Familiar with various cycle sales projects

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is desired but not required

  • Prior experience (professional or hobby) with engines and components

  • Proven ability to analyze customer specifications and application requirements to recommend and select appropriate products


Knowle
dge and Skills:

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of product lines

  • Proficiency in CRM sofware and sales tracking tools; Pipedrive a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Effective presentation and public speaking skills

  • Knowledge of oil & gas equipment, internal combustion engines, or turbo-machinery is a plus


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 + Commission Package

  • Commission structure: Based on revenue, paid out annually

  • All travel expenses covered (mileage and expenses)
