Fabrication Shop Safety Coordinator

Steel Fabrication

A client AISC certified Steel company based in Texas is looking for Safety Coordination in their fabrication shop. They deliver a turn-key steel package to their clients in Texas and surrounding states. Projects range from Commercial Institutional, Modular Warehouses, Industrial and Heavy Truss. Seeking to a Safety Coordinator to our steel fabrication shop in Houston Metro.

Safety Coordinator Duties:

• Shop Inspections, PPE Ordering/Inspecions
• Safety Meetings (Toolbox Talks)
• New Hire Orientations
• Bi-weekly meetings with Safety Committee
• Monitor compliance with Safety Protocols
• Injury / Near miss investigations
• Safety Corrective Actions
• Kick off Meetings for jobs
• Visitor Safety Briefings

Safety Coordinator Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Safety regulations and policies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in technology and equipment used in inspections.
• Flexible work hours to interact with night shift.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a must.
