Corporate FSQA Manager

Location: Waverly, NY Base Salary: $90,000 – $95,000

What You'll Do

• Provide leadership and technical guidance for food safety and quality programs
• Support consistent implementation of FSQA standards across manufacturing operations
• Develop, maintain, and improve food safety and quality systems
• Oversee HACCP, GMP, SSOP, allergen control, environmental monitoring, sanitation, and related food safety programs
• Partner with plant FSQA and Operations teams to identify risks and implement corrective actions
• Lead root-cause analysis and continuous-improvement initiatives related to food safety and quality
• Support preparation for and execution of customer, regulatory, and third-party audits
• Monitor audit findings, corrective actions, trends, and key FSQA performance metrics
• Provide guidance regarding regulatory requirements and customer specifications
• Investigate quality issues and customer complaints and ensure appropriate corrective actions
• Support product specifications, labeling, documentation, and quality requirements
• Assist with food safety training and development of FSQA personnel
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other functions to resolve quality and food safety issues
• Help identify opportunities to strengthen systems, reduce risk, and improve consistency
• Support regulatory and customer communications when necessary
• Travel to manufacturing facilities as needed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred
• Several years of progressive experience in food safety and quality within food manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, FSMA, and GFSI standards
• Experience with USDA/FDA regulatory requirements preferred
• Experience supporting or leading third-party, regulatory, and customer audits
• Strong understanding of food safety systems and quality-management principles
• Proven ability to conduct root-cause analysis and develop effective corrective actions
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without relying solely on direct authority
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Experience with continuous improvement and food safety culture initiatives
• Ability to travel as needed

Compensation

Base Salary: $90,000 – $95,000
