Key Account Manager - Pet Specialty

A growing pet products organization is seeking a Key Account Manager to manage and develop relationships with major retail and distribution accounts.

The emphasis is on account management rather than territory sales. This person will work directly with headquarters-level contacts, review account performance, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategies to strengthen key customer relationships.

Candidates do not necessarily need to come directly from the pet industry. Experience Hmanaging large retail or corporate accounts for a recognized consumer brand can translate well into this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage key retail and distribution relationships
• Work directly with headquarters-level buyers and decision makers
• Conduct account reviews and customer presentations
• Analyze sales performance and market data
• Develop account growth strategies
• Identify additional opportunities within existing accounts
• Collaborate across sales, marketing, operations, and other internal teams
• Travel as needed

Qualifications:

• Key, national, regional, or strategic account management experience
• Experience working with major retailers or large corporate accounts
• Pet products or pet specialty experience preferred
• Strong presentation and relationship-management skills
• Ability to analyze account performance and market trends
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Ability to work on-site in Cobb County

Compensation: $70,000-$100,000 base salary plus a 10%-25% bonus opportunity.

This is an on-site position. Relocation assistance is not available. Must live near Atlanta, GA.
