Now Hiring: Service Manager – Hondo, TX
Are you a proven leader with a knack for team development, multitasking, and creating outstanding customer experiences? A highly regarded, multi-location agriculture equipment dealer is actively seeking a Service Manager to lead their Hondo, TX location. This is a key leadership role with a well-respected organization known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service in the ag equipment industry.
As Service Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department, ensuring your team delivers reliable, efficient, and timely service. You’ll take ownership of departmental performance—driving profitability, improving processes, and creating a positive and productive work environment for technicians and support staff.
You’ll be instrumental in building a culture that puts the customer first, ensuring satisfaction throughout every stage of the service process. This includes managing workflow, mentoring staff, setting goals, and driving business through strategic planning and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Improving service department performance with a focus on efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction
Setting annual goals and budgets that align with organizational targets
Developing and executing service marketing strategies
Recruiting, training, and retaining top service talent
Managing work-in-progress, rework, and warranty claims
Ensuring consistent implementation of service processes and best practices
Maintaining a professional, safe, and well-equipped work environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required (college degree preferred)
At least 5 years of experience in a service department within the ag or heavy equipment space
Experience with ag OEMs like John Deere, Case IH, AGCO, Kubota, or CLAAS is a plus
Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
Prior management or supervisory experience is essential
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary of $70,000–$80,000, plus 1% commission on revenue
On-target earnings of $90,000–$100,000+
