Construction Assistant Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the planning and execution of construction projects. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to grow into a Project Manager role.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day project management
- Help manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Review plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Track project progress and assist with change orders
- Attend project meetings and communicate with project stakeholders
- Help maintain project documentation and ensure deadlines are met
- Support the Project Manager with other project-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 1–3 years of construction experience with a general contractor or similar vertical construction organization
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
- Motivated to grow into a Project Manager role
