Third-Party Defense Attorney: Great Culture, Great Benefits, Real Trial Experience in Tampa

We are working with a well-regarded civil defense firm in Tampa that is seeking a Third-Party Defense Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience. This is a hands-on role for a confident litigator who enjoys managing cases from inception through trial and wants to join a firm known for its great culture and great benefits.

This position is in office, with flexibility once you are established.

What You'll Do

• Defend insureds and self-insured clients in bodily injury, premises liability, motor vehicle, and general liability matters
• Manage a full caseload from inception through trial and post-trial
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and dispositive and procedural motions
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
• Prepare case evaluations and status reports to insurance carriers and clients

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in third-party or insurance defense
• Experience taking and defending depositions and working with experts
• Trial or trial preparation experience is a plus
• Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize a busy caseload
