Transactional Attorney

GPAC, a 30+ year recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established law firm seeking an experienced Transactional Attorney to join its growing practice in the greater Houston area. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take the next step in their career with a firm that values collaboration, professional development, and long-term growth. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience handling sophisticated transactional matters and advising clients on complex business and contractual issues. Remote flexibility may be available depending on experience and location.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, agreements, and transactional documents
  • Manage transactions from inception through closing
  • Conduct due diligence and provide strategic transactional analysis
  • Advise clients on business transactions, compliance matters, and contractual risk
  • Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, and other parties throughout the transaction process
  • Mentor junior attorneys and assist with complex transactional matters as needed
  • Maintain organized files and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to practice law in Texas
  • 5+ years of transactional attorney experience
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, business transactions, and transactional procedures
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced environment
