Job Description

A local bank in the Waterloo / Cedar Valley market is looking for a self-motivated person with commercial lending experience. This role covers new business development, underwriting, structuring, closing, and servicing a portfolio of commercial clients.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate client needs and recommend the right lending and deposit solutions
• Cross-sell bank products and services
• Service and grow existing commercial relationships
• Meet loan and deposit growth goals
• Open new accounts for commercial customers
• Analyze creditworthiness and prepare loan memos and loan documents

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Customer-facing experience in banking or financial services
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience preparing proposals and underwriting commercial credit
• Organized and able to multitask
