About the Opportunity

A respected Cedar Rapids law firm is looking for an experienced Employment & Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. This is a chance to handle a diverse mix of employment and civil litigation matters, work directly with clients, and help build the practice, all with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation from initial assessment through trial, appeal, or resolution
• Represent clients in litigation, investigations, administrative proceedings, mediations, and negotiations
• Advise employers on federal, state, and local employment laws
• Counsel clients on workplace investigations, employee relations, wage and hour matters, accommodations, and terminations
• Draft and review employment policies, handbooks, and agreements
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to practice growth

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Iowa Bar license or ability to obtain admission promptly
• 5+ years of employment, labor, and/or litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage clients and caseloads
• Practical, business-minded approach to client challenges
