Job Description

A structural steel fabricator in Katy, Texas is adding a Bid Coordinator to its estimating group. In this role you'll own the bid process end to end, from logging new invitations to bid to putting together and delivering complete proposals before every deadline.

What You'll Do:

• Build out bid packages and proposals (forms, bonds, qualifications) and get them submitted on time
• Monitor invitations to bid, due dates, and pre-bid meetings, keeping the bid log and calendar current
• Work with estimators, project managers, and customers to resolve clarifications and RFIs
• Pull down, organize, and send plans, specifications, and addenda to the estimating team
• Solicit and chase vendor and subcontractor quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, and paint
• Maintain accurate bid board/CRM records and log bid outcomes

What You Bring:

• Hands-on experience with bid platforms like BuildingConnected or ConstructConnect
• At least 2 years of bid coordination, estimating support, or project administration experience in construction (steel fabrication preferred)
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications with confidence
• Excellent organization and the ability to manage several deadlines at once
• Solid Excel and document management skills
