Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney

GPAC has partnered with a respected and established law firm seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team in the Atlanta area. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build strong litigation experience within a collaborative and professionally supportive environment.

The firm is known for providing high-quality representation in workers’ compensation matters and offers attorneys meaningful case responsibility, mentorship, and long-term career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Handle workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy development
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and administrative agencies
  • Review medical records and evaluate claims exposure
  • Negotiate settlements and assist with litigation strategy
  • Manage caseloads efficiently while meeting all deadlines

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to the Georgia Bar preferred
  • 2+ years of workers’ compensation and/or civil litigation experience required
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Hearing or deposition experience is a plus
