Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

GPAC has partnered with a respected and established law firm seeking a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team in Charlotte. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain substantial hands-on litigation experience while working alongside a collaborative and well-regarded group of attorneys.

The firm is known for providing high-quality representation across a broad range of civil litigation matters and offers a professional environment that values mentorship, teamwork, and long-term career development.

Responsibilities

  • Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy recommendations
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Manage case files and maintain litigation deadlines
  • Assist with trial preparation and overall litigation strategy
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff on active matters

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to the North Carolina Bar preferred
  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience required
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Courtroom, deposition, or hearing experience is a plus
