Job Description

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector needs a BD Manager to expand structural steel erection wins on Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time, $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, Midwest travel.

Your focus

• Travel across the Midwest to advance pursuits and deepen client relationships
• Build and pursue new steel erection opportunities with GCs and owners
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry events
• Lead pursuit strategy for major structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Track competitors, bid timing, and project pipelines

Ideal background

• Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest
• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Clear communication and a track record of closing opportunity pipelines
• Comfort winning work on large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Strong network with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
