Experienced Transactional Attorney – Columbus, Ohio

A well-established Columbus, Ohio law firm is seeking an experienced Transactional Attorney to join its growing practice. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse base of business clients on sophisticated matters while maintaining a balanced, team-oriented culture.

Position Overview:

The attorney will focus primarily on corporate and business transactions, with a heavy emphasis on small to mid-market mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The ideal candidate will also bring experience in real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, leasing, and related due diligence, as this is a significant plus for our practice mix.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Ohio Bar (or ability to waive in).
  • Minimum 3 years of transactional experience, with a preference for candidates in the 5–8+ year range.
  • Strong background in corporate and business law, particularly in M&A transactions (buy- and sell-side).
  • Experience with entity formation, contract drafting and negotiation, financing, and general corporate governance.
  • Real estate transaction experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage transactions independently while working collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
