Are you an attorney looking to build your career in Community Association, HOA, Condominium, Real Estate, or Civil Litigation Law?

A growing legal practice in Charlotte, NC is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its team and work directly with HOA , condominium associations, boards of directors, and property managers.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 1+ years of legal experience who wants meaningful client interaction, hands-on legal experience, and the opportunity to grow within a specialized practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise HOAs and condominium associations regarding corporate governance, compliance, and legal issues
• Draft, review, and interpret CC&Rs, declarations, bylaws, rules, regulations, and other governing documents
• Counsel boards of directors and property managers regarding association operations
• Assist with rule enforcement, violations, compliance, and owner disputes
• Handle assessment collections, liens, foreclosures, and bankruptcy matters
• Review, draft, and negotiate vendor and service contracts
• Advise clients regarding real estate, construction, contract, and community association disputes
• Assist with mediation, arbitration, and litigation matters
• Represent community associations in legal proceedings as needed
• Provide practical, business-focused legal guidance to volunteer board members and property managers
• Communicate directly with clients and develop strong, long-term client relationships

Qualifications

• 1+ years of legal experience
• Active North Carolina Bar license required
• Experience with HOA, condominium, community association, real estate, civil litigation, collections, or contract law is preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and client-management abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a legal team
• Comfortable communicating with clients, boards of directors, property managers, and opposing counsel
