Overview

We’re hiring a Tool Room Shift Lead with a journeyman diemaker background to lead shift operations in our metal stamping facility. This is a hands-on role requiring deep tooling expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and proven leadership or project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support toolmakers and technicians during assigned shift.

  • Repair and maintain progressive, transfer, and line dies.

  • Prioritize work orders and support production needs.

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams.

  • Drive improvements in die performance and toolroom efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and enforce safety protocols.

  • Train and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years in tool and die, ideally in metal stamping.

  • Leadership or project management experience.

  • Strong blueprint reading and machining skills (manual and CNC).

  • Effective communicator with solid time management.

Preferred

  • Experience with die tryouts and process improvements.

  • Familiar with ERP systems and lean manufacturing.
