GPAC is currently partnering with a growing and dynamic firm in Redding, CA, seeking a dedicated and experienced Tax & Accounting Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage tax compliance and consulting projects for a diverse client base.
Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns, including corporate, partnership, individual, and trust filings.
Provide expert guidance on federal, state, and local tax matters.
Oversee monthly financial reporting, bookkeeping, and general ledger maintenance.
Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver strategic tax planning solutions.
Mentor and develop junior staff members.
Candidate Requirements:
5 to 7 years of experience in tax compliance and accounting, preferably in a public accounting or professional services environment.
Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Excellent client service skills with a professional and approachable demeanor.
Demonstrated leadership, decision-making skills, and ability to foster a positive team environment.
Commitment to stability and long-term career growth.
CPA certification preferred or in progress.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, tax software, and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks.
