Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Trust and Estates Attorney with 5–10 years of dedicated experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Montana and federal estate laws and a proven track record of providing high-quality legal counsel to individuals, families, and fiduciaries.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
Advising clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax issues
Administering estates and trusts, including probate proceedings
Representing clients in contested probate or trust litigation (if applicable)
Collaborating with financial advisors, CPAs, and other professionals
Managing client relationships and maintaining regular communication
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Admission to the Montana Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
5–10 years of experience in trust and estate law
Strong drafting and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and client service abilities
LL.M. in Taxation is a plus but not required
