Maintenance Manager

Location: Monmouth, IL | Full-Time

Pay Rate: $110,000 - $115,000 Base

We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager who can take ownership of maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an opportunity for a maintenance leader who knows how to develop people, improve reliability, eliminate recurring breakdowns, and keep critical equipment operating at peak performance.

This isn't a desk-only maintenance leadership role.

You'll have the authority and visibility to make a real impact—leading a skilled maintenance team, strengthening preventive maintenance, improving equipment reliability, and partnering directly with plant leadership and operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead, schedule, and direct maintenance personnel to ensure daily priorities are executed effectively
• Provide hands-on leadership and technical support to maintenance technicians
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Manage maintenance work orders, scheduling, asset information, and documentation through CMMS
• Analyze downtime and maintenance data to identify recurring problems and corrective actions
• Oversee repair, maintenance, and continuous operation of production equipment and facility systems
• Partner with Operations to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Ensure equipment meets safety, operational, and food-quality requirements
• Manage maintenance parts inventory and ensure critical spares are available
• Coordinate outside vendors, contractors, and service providers
• Support and lead plant improvement and capital projects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused maintenance environment
• Develop maintenance employees through coaching, training, accountability, and performance management
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and maintenance costs
• Communicate maintenance performance, priorities, and challenges to plant leadership

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of maintenance management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership and team-development skills
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge
• Experience with hydraulic and conveyor systems
• Proven experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs
• CMMS experience
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work hands-on when situations require it
• Experience in food manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment is preferred
• Mechanical engineering or technical/trade education is a plus
