Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Family Law Associate Attorney to join the firm’s dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of family law, including litigation, negotiation, and client advocacy. This is a great opportunity for an attorney looking to grow within a supportive and established practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence.

  • Advise clients on legal options and case strategies with compassion and clarity.

  • Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and related documents.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal arguments.

  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations and court proceedings.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, paralegals, and support staff to ensure thorough case preparation.

  • Stay current on Washington family law statutes, rules, and case law.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Washington State Bar.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience practicing family law.

  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures and legal principles.

  • Excellent communication, litigation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage complex cases with empathy and efficiency.

  • Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with high-net-worth divorce cases and/or complex custody disputes.

  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities (a plus, not required).

  • Active membership in family law associations (e.g., WSBA Family Law Section, AAML).
