Job Description

We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a highly regarded, relationship-focused financial institution seeking an accomplished Vice President, Commercial Banking Wealth Strategist to lead growth in the Phoenix Valley market. This role is ideal for a proven commercial banking professional with strong cash/treasury management expertise, a deep network of centers of influence, and a passion for building long-term client relationships. You will have the autonomy to shape market strategy, supported by a collaborative leadership team and an integrated banking model that includes wealth management and trust services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, retain, and expand profitable commercial deposit relationships with businesses and high-net-worth individuals.

  • Serve as the principal relationship manager, delivering tailored cash management solutions through in-person and remote engagement.

  • Partner with commercial lenders, wealth advisors, and trust officers on joint calls to deepen relationships and cross-sell services.

  • Lead market engagement efforts including networking, community involvement, and brand visibility in the Phoenix Valley.

  • Analyze client cash flow to determine appropriate cash management product fit, balancing client needs with revenue opportunities.

  • Participate in committees related to marketing, deposits, and pricing within the Arizona market.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cash management sales or commercial deposit growth experience.

  • Treasury management background is required.

  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (advanced degree preferred).

  • Strong presentation, organization, and follow-up skills.

  • Excellent listening and consultative skills to uncover client needs.

  • Professional presence with the ability to represent the institution in business and civic settings.
