Job Description

We are seeking a flexible Quality Manager responsible for managing and directing the organization towards its primary quality objectives, by directly or indirectly formulating quality standards and regulations for employees and the products produced. The ideal candidate is someone who does well in an ever-changing fast-paced environment with a strong ability to develop talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the quality team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and compliance
  • Maintain and improve site-wide quality systems aligned with ISO 9001, BRC, and GFSI standards (SQF, FSSC 22000)
  • Oversee food safety and GMP programs including HACCP plans and preventive controls
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits, manage corrective actions (SCARs), and verify resolution effectiveness
  • Support customer complaint resolution using root cause analysis and structured problem-solving
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve product quality and operational performance
  • Implement and train teams on quality tools, work instructions, and audit readiness
  • Analyze quality metrics and trends to drive decision-making and maintain performance visibility
  • Ensure robust traceability systems and documentation for all product testing and inspections
  • Guide quality planning from raw materials through production and final delivery
  • contribute to cost-reduction efforts via scrap, rework, and energy efficiency initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Must be flexible to work different hours and shifts
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in quality leadership for manufacturing facilities
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing related to bag making machine operations
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management system
  • Experience with BRC or ISO 2200 food safety management systems
  • Practical knowledge of statistical tools and variance reduction
  • Experience with scrap reduction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and computer proficiency
  • HACCP/GMP certification
  • FSSC certification
