Job Description

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector needs a Business Development Manager to bring in large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. The permanent full-time position pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and includes Midwest travel.

Primary responsibilities

• Win new steel erection work from general contractors and owners throughout the Midwest
• Travel across the Midwest to support pursuits and build client trust
• Direct the pursuit approach for structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Monitor bid calendars, competitors, and upcoming Midwest projects
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector at meetings and industry events

What we're looking for

• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Ability to compete for and win large Midwest tonnage projects
• Preferred relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Willing to travel the Midwest
• Strong communicator with a track record of converting opportunities
