Now Hiring: Controls Technician Position: Controls Technician Type: Full-Time | Permanent Focus: Supporting and maintaining industrial automation systems to ensure optimal plant operations

What You’ll Do

  • Utilize programming skills, knowledge, and creativity to troubleshoot production and project tasks

  • Monitor plant production control systems via FactoryTalk client interfaces and PanelView displays

  • Interpret PLC logic, electrical drawings, and hydraulic schematics to support troubleshooting and repairs

  • Collaborate with maintenance and production personnel to troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment

  • Assist with commissioning, preventative maintenance, emergency response, and process improvements

  • Analyze and modify existing project code to meet process requirements

  • Adhere to programming and electrical standards while ensuring effective communication across teams

What You Bring

Education: Associate’s degree in PLC Programming (Bachelor’s preferred) Experience: 0–5 years working with industrial automation and controls

Skills:

  • Proficient in Rockwell software (RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View SE, Historian SE, Transaction Manager)

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages (Ladder Logic, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram)

  • Familiarity with drives and motor controls (ABB, SEW Eurodrive, Allen-Bradley)

  • Understanding of motion control programming and Ethernet IP networking

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
