Job Description

A respected commercial general contractor in Dallas is looking for an Estimator to join its preconstruction team. You'll price higher education and municipal projects from early budgets through hard bids, working closely with the precon and operations teams to win the right work.

What You'll Do

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates for higher education and municipal projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs and build out estimates in digital estimating software
• Reach out to subcontractors and suppliers, review scopes, and level bids
• Support value engineering and constructability reviews with owners and design partners
• Help put together proposals, bid packages, and pricing for interviews
• Hand off clean, well-documented estimates to the project team

What You Bring

• 3+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
• Experience on higher education, municipal, or other public-sector projects
• Working knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff, Destini, or similar estimating tools
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with tight bid deadlines
• Clear communication and a collaborative, team-first approach
