Electrical Engineer

Overview Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design electrical control systems for heating and cooling equipment, liquid transfer pump systems, and portable power distribution assemblies used in mobile and temporary applications. The role includes developing electrical schematics, control panels, wiring harnesses, and maintaining product documentation and BOMs for manufacturing releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electrical control systems for heating and cooling units, pump transfer systems, and portable power distribution assemblies.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, PLC/HMI programs, and cable/harness drawings.
  • Maintain electrical product documentation, BOM structures, and generate product releases for the manufacturing floor.
  • Develop and execute design verification test plans, test procedures, and test reports to validate electrical designs against requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical design, manufacturing, and field teams to resolve issues, improve reliability, and reduce cost.
  • Ensure electrical systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Support troubleshooting, commissioning, and continuous improvement of existing products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience designing electrical control systems (HVAC controls, pump controls, power distribution).
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, relays/contactors, and power distribution components.
  • Proficient in electrical schematic capture and panel/layout tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent); experience with SolidWorks electrical/ECAD is a plus.
  • Familiarity with BOM management and product release processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with mobile/trailer-mounted systems, refrigeration controls, or VAVE methodologies is preferred.
