Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment
Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope
Coordinate with project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors during preconstruction
Request and review vendor and subcontractor pricing
Maintain cost data and historical project information to support future planning
Suggest cost-saving ideas and alternative approaches when appropriate
Help develop bid strategies and stay informed about market trends
Qualifications:
Experience in construction estimating
Comfort with Microsoft Excel or similar tools; experience with estimating software
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within deadlines
Education in construction, engineering, or related fields is preferred, but not required
