Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment

  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope

  • Coordinate with project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors during preconstruction

  • Request and review vendor and subcontractor pricing

  • Maintain cost data and historical project information to support future planning

  • Suggest cost-saving ideas and alternative approaches when appropriate

  • Help develop bid strategies and stay informed about market trends

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction estimating  

  • Comfort with Microsoft Excel or similar tools; experience with estimating software 

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within deadlines

  • Education in construction, engineering, or related fields is preferred, but not required
