Job Description

We are continuing to grow our litigation team in St. Louis and are looking to add an Insurance Defense Attorney with 3–6 years of experience. I’m seeking an attorney who has a foundation in insurance defense litigation and is comfortable managing cases while continuing to develop their skills in a collaborative environment.

You should have experience in general liability defense, and exposure to any of the following is a plus:

• Catastrophic injury / high-exposure claims
• Nursing home and long-term care litigation
• Personal injury and property damage matters
• Product liability

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing an active caseload of insurance defense matters
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Working closely with clients, carriers, and experts
• Developing case strategy and evaluating risk exposure
• Participating in mediations, settlement discussions, and trial preparation

Work Environment: We offer hybrid flexibility, but we believe strongly in in-person collaboration—especially early on.

• Attorneys are expected to be in the office during the training period
• After that, hybrid flexibility is available based on performance and team needs

Billable Expectations

• 1900-2000

Compensation & Bonus

• Base Salary: $130,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience)
• Bonus Structure:
• Monthly performance-based bonus
• Additional bi-annual bonus opportunities

 What You Need

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Missouri Bar license (or ability to obtain)
• 3–6 years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
