PEMB Estimator
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced PEMB Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for pre-engineered metal building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PEMB systems, fabrication, materials, and erection processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and bids for PEMB projects from plans, specifications, and customer requirements
- Perform material and quantity takeoffs
- Review architectural and structural drawings
- Price materials, fabrication, labor, erection, freight, and subcontracted work
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Develop accurate project proposals and estimates
- Work with sales, engineering, detailing, and operations teams throughout the estimating process
- Identify project risks, exclusions, and potential cost impacts
- Maintain organized estimating records and meet bid deadlines
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience estimating PEMB projects preferred
- Strong understanding of pre-engineered metal building systems
- Experience with PEMB manufacturers, fabricators, or erectors preferred
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Understanding of steel fabrication, materials, and erection processes
- Strong mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
