Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense | Hybrid Available

A respected insurance defense firm in Broward County is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in first- and third-party property, construction defect, and insurance coverage litigation. This position offers the opportunity to handle complex matters in a collaborative environment with no billable hour requirement and the flexibility of a hybrid schedule.

What They’re Looking For

  • 1+ years of insurance defense litigation experience (first- and third-party property, construction defect, and/or coverage preferred)

  • Strong background in litigation, including drafting motions, depositions, mediations, and hearings

  • Ability to manage cases independently while working closely with partners and clients

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Member of the Florida Bar in good standing

What You’ll Do

  • Handle insurance defense matters from inception through resolution

  • Develop litigation strategies tailored to client objectives and cost-effective representation

  • Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations

  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and briefs in state and federal courts

  • Provide proactive communication and advice to insurers, carriers, and corporate clients

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys in a hybrid, flexible setting
