About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estate Paralegal to join our growing team in a hybrid capacity. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with extensive experience supporting attorneys in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in trusts and estates and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related instruments

  • Assist with trust funding and asset transfers

  • Manage probate and trust administration matters from initiation through closing

  • Prepare court filings and coordinate with probate courts

  • Communicate with clients, financial institutions, accountants, and advisors

  • Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines

  • Prepare federal and state estate tax filings (experience preferred)

  • Assist attorneys with research and document review

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of Trust & Estate paralegal experience

  • Strong knowledge of estate planning and probate procedures

  • Experience drafting estate planning documents independently

  • Familiarity with trust funding and asset retitling

  • Proficiency in legal practice management and document management software

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
