About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estate Paralegal to join our growing team in a hybrid capacity. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with extensive experience supporting attorneys in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in trusts and estates and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
Draft estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related instruments
Assist with trust funding and asset transfers
Manage probate and trust administration matters from initiation through closing
Prepare court filings and coordinate with probate courts
Communicate with clients, financial institutions, accountants, and advisors
Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines
Prepare federal and state estate tax filings (experience preferred)
Assist attorneys with research and document review
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of Trust & Estate paralegal experience
Strong knowledge of estate planning and probate procedures
Experience drafting estate planning documents independently
Familiarity with trust funding and asset retitling
Proficiency in legal practice management and document management software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
