Job Overview:
We are a rapidly growing manufacturer of high-quality systems for domestic water, HVAC, chiller plants, boiler plants, and fire pump applications. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources & Safety Manager to lead HR and safety initiatives. This role is critical in a fast-growing manufacturing environment including a bilingual English / Spanish workforce. The ideal candidate will champion a strong safety culture, drive HR best practices, ensure regulatory compliance, OSHA, and support our Lean/Continuous Improvement efforts. This is a hands-on leadership position reporting to senior management, with the opportunity to build and enhance programs in a state-of-the-art facility during a period of exciting growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Leadership:

  • Oversee full-cycle HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, and offboarding
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support business objectives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC)
  • Foster positive employee relations in a diverse, multicultural workforce; serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees
  • Manage employee engagement initiatives, training and development programs, and succession planning
  • Handle HR administration, including maintaining accurate records, processing payroll inputs, and managing benefits enrollment
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives through HR programs such as training, 5S, and employee involvement


Safety & Compliance Leadership:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive safety programs to achieve a zero-incident workplace culture
  • Ensure full OSHA compliance, including recordkeeping (OSHA 300 logs), inspections, training, and hazard identification
  • Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses, and regular facility audits; recommend and implement corrective actions
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and workers' compensation claims management
  • Chair the Safety Committee and promote proactive safety awareness through training, communications, and programs
  • Collaborate with plant leadership on safety protocols for manufacturing processes involving pumps, HVAC equipment, heavy machinery, and assembly operations


Additional Duties:

  • Support integration and alignment between Florida and other operational locations
  • Provide HR and safety support during facility expansions and process improvements
  • Track key metrics and prepare reports for senior leadership on HR and safety performance
  • Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and trends in manufacturing HR and EHS


Qualifications:


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Safety Management, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of progressive HR and Safety experience in a manufacturing or closely related industrial environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and proven success implementing compliant safety programs
  • Experience managing HR functions for 100+ employee populations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly valued given our workforce
  • Lean Manufacturing experience, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or strong Continuous Improvement background
  • HVAC or industrial machinery manufacturing experience
  • Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
  • Experience with 5S, Kaizen, or other Lean tools
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation, benefits administration, and employment law


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 (commensurate with experience)
