Job Description

Join an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector as a permanent full-time Business Development Manager winning Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Compensation is $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with Midwest travel expected.

Your focus

• Identify and develop steel erection opportunities with owners and general contractors
• Guide pursuits on structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons from outreach through award
• Travel the Midwest to strengthen relationships and keep live pursuits on track
• Stand for an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry forums
• Follow bid calendars, competitor moves, and the regional project pipeline

You bring

• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• A track record securing large-tonnage Midwest work
• Preferred relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest
• Clear communicator who turns interest into awards
