Job Title: Junior Estimator / Project Engineer – Civil Construction
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator / Project Engineer to join our civil construction team. This role is designed for individuals looking to grow their career in estimating with the support of experienced mentors. The ideal candidate will bring construction experience, strong analytical skills, and a desire to develop expertise in preconstruction and estimating.
Responsibilities:
Assist senior estimators with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost analysis
Review project plans, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate estimates
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and scope clarification
Support project engineers and project managers with documentation, schedules, and progress tracking
Maintain organized records of bids, proposals, and project data
Participate in training and mentorship programs to advance estimating skills
Qualifications:
3+ years of construction experience in commercial ground-up or civil sitework projects
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Experience with HCSS estimating software preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
Eagerness to learn and grow under mentorship in a collaborative team environment
