WWTP Superintendent or Project Manager
An Iowa general contractor is considering candidates for a Superintendent or Project Manager role supporting wastewater treatment plant construction in the Des Moines/Ames area. The level and responsibilities can be matched to the candidate’s background.
Superintendent responsibilities
Lead day-to-day field operations and coordinate subcontractors and crews
Maintain jobsite safety, quality, and construction progress
Read plans and specifications and address field issues
Coordinate schedules, inspections, materials, and site logistics
Communicate project updates and needs to the project team
Project Manager responsibilities
Manage project planning, schedule, budget, and documentation
Coordinate owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field staff
Monitor costs, changes, progress, and project risks
Support procurement, meetings, reporting, and project closeout
What we’re looking for
Experience with wastewater treatment plant construction
Background as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or in a comparable project leadership role
Ability to coordinate project teams and resolve construction issues
Strong communication, organization, and safety focus
Availability to work on projects in the Des Moines/Ames area
