We are seeking a Senior Boiler Technician to join a top-tier mechanical team supporting critical facilities across the Chicagoland area. This is a high-level, hands-on role for someone who knows boilers inside and out and can step in with zero training required.
💼 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Service, troubleshoot, and start up high-pressure boiler systems
- Perform burner tuning (MUST have experience)
- Work on chillers, combustion systems, and related equipment
- Handle critical start-ups, maintenance, and emergency service calls
- Support a wide range of facilities including:
- Food processing plants
- Mills
- Pharmaceutical facilities
- K-12 buildings
- Industrial & commercial sites
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of boiler technician experience
- Strong background in high-pressure boilers & combustion systems
- Expert-level burner tuning experience (required)
- Experience using a combustion analyzer
- Background as a pipefitter strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently at a senior level
- Willingness to join the union (if not already a member)

✅ Senior Boiler Technician – Candidate Checklist
🔧 Core Experience (Must-Have)
- ☐ 5+ years of hands-on boiler technician experience
- ☐ Strong experience with high-pressure boiler systems
- ☐ Proven ability to troubleshoot, service, and perform start-ups independently
- ☐ Experience working in industrial and/or commercial environments
🔥 Technical Skills (Critical)
- ☐ Burner tuning experience (REQUIRED – non-negotiable)
- ☐ Strong knowledge of combustion systems
- ☐ Experience using a combustion analyzer
- ☐ Familiar with chillers and related mechanical systems
- ☐ Ability to diagnose and repair complex system issues without supervision
🛠️ Background & Trade
