We are partnered with a reputable and growing engineering firm that's seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer to join their Nashville team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with strong technical skills in site/land development design and a passion for high-quality project delivery. This role involves working closely with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to design and develop a wide range of land development projects across Tennessee.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support site/land development design for commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal projects
Prepare and review site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, stormwater management systems, and erosion control plans
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage design, and stormwater calculations
Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies
Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, and construction documents
Assist with permitting at local and state levels
Provide quality control checks and mentor junior engineers and designers
Required Qualifications
Active Tennessee Professional Engineer (PE) license
Resides in the Nashville, TN area (or willing to relocate prior to employment)
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
6+ years of experience in site/land development design
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design software)
Strong working knowledge of grading, utilities, stormwater management, and applicable codes
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Hydraflow, HEC-RAS/SWMM)
Experience with local permitting in Metro Nashville and Middle Tennessee
Project management or client-facing experience
