Legal Assistant – Civil Litigation 📍 Camp Hill, Pennsylvania | Full-Time

A respected mid-sized law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to support its busy Civil Litigation practice in the Camp Hill/Harrisburg area. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and paralegals across litigation, family law, and general practice matters in a collaborative and professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys and paralegals
  • Manage electronic and physical client files
  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, deadlines, and court filings
  • Prepare correspondence, engagement letters, and legal documents through transcription and drafting support
  • Handle state and federal court filings, including electronic filings
  • Communicate with courts, prothonotaries, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Enter attorney time and assist with expense reporting
  • Support general office operations, including mail processing and reception coverage as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or similar legal support role
  • Experience with civil litigation procedures and court filing systems
  • Familiarity with PACER, state filing systems, and county/prothonotary websites
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment with strong attention to detail

Preferred Experience

  • ECF filing experience in federal court
  • Experience with iManage or other document management systems
  • Familiarity with legal software such as Lackner or Pro Series
  • Paralegal certificate and/or active Notary license preferred
