Litigation Attorney – California

GPAC has partnered with an established California law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team.

This opportunity is well suited for an accomplished litigator who enjoys taking ownership of complex matters, wants meaningful responsibility, and values a collaborative environment with greater flexibility than other law firm settings.

What You'll Do:

• Manage complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Develop case strategy and manage litigation deadlines

• Handle discovery, motions, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as appropriate

• Draft sophisticated pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and develop creative, well-supported arguments

• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel

• Manage multiple matters while maintaining high-quality work product

• Collaborate with attorneys and other professionals across the practice

What We're Looking For:

• 7+ years of litigation experience

• Strong experience managing civil litigation matters

• Experience taking matters through significant stages of litigation

• Excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills

• Strong case management and organizational abilities

• Ability to take ownership of matters and work independently

• Experience with complex litigation, public-sector clients, insurance defense, civil rights, or other defense-oriented practices is a plus
