They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Controller to join their team and play a key role in shaping the company’s future growth.
Position Overview:
As the Financial Controller, you will have a crucial seat at the table, working closely with the executive team to drive financial performance and strategic planning. You will oversee all financial activities, ensure robust financial controls, and provide critical insights to support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and growth strategies.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
