Lead the design and execution of electrical power and automation/control systems across all project phases: FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Develop, review, and approve engineering deliverables, including single-line diagrams, I/O lists, instrumentation data sheets, control panel layouts, and SCADA/DCS configurations.
Perform and review electrical system studies, such as load flow, short-circuit analysis, protection coordination, and arc-flash evaluations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards, including NEC, IEC, IEEE, ISA, and others.
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and industrial network systems.
Interface with vendors and evaluate automation hardware/software, MCCs, switchgear, and related electrical equipment packages.
Provide technical direction to contractors, junior engineers, and EPC partners.
Serve as the client-facing technical lead for all electrical and automation systems, resolving design and commissioning issues as they arise.
Support the implementation of digitalization and smart plant technologies to enhance system reliability and performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Control Engineering (Master’s preferred).
15+ years of experience in electrical and automation engineering, including 8+ years on EPC projects in the metals, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
Proficiency with tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, and automation programming platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider, etc.).
Strong knowledge of PLCs, DCS, SCADA, instrumentation, and industrial communication protocols like Profibus, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.
Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and complex deliverables.
