Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate professional with a strong background in both acquisitions and dispositions. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience handling complex real estate transactions, with an emphasis on commercial properties. While some corporate experience is acceptable, the primary focus should be on real estate-specific matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements for commercial real estate transactions.
  • Handle lease agreements for both landlords and tenants, including drafting, revising, and negotiating terms.
  • Represent buyers and sellers throughout the full transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, contract execution, and closing.
  • Provide legal guidance on acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external counsel, brokers, and other parties involved in transactions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with real estate transactions and contractual obligations.
  • Support closings and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) 
  • Must be barred in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience with both acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements and lease agreements.
  • Experience representing both buyers and sellers.
  • Familiarity with due diligence processes and closing procedures.
  • Some corporate legal experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with a variety of commercial asset classes (office, retail, industrial, multifamily, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
